At the helm for the previous three seasons, Giampiero Ventura has become a staple for the Granata. Mired in Serie B at the time of his arrival in 2011, sceptics were wary of how well he’d perform on the Torino bench. Yet, Ventura revolutionised the squad, winning promotion to Serie A in his first season. A poor initial year in Serie A ended in safety before Ventura’s side flew to a seventh place finish last season and qualified for Europe, achieving a personal best in points earned in the top flight. Now, Ventura hopes to continue the upward trend on two fronts.
