At the helm for the previous four seasons, Giampiero Ventura has become a staple for the Granata. Mired in Serie B at the time of his arrival in 2011, sceptics were wary of how well he’d perform on the Torino bench. Yet, Ventura revolutionised the squad, winning promotion to Serie A in his first season. A poor initial year in Serie A ended in safety before Ventura’s side flew to a seventh place finish in 2013-14 and qualified for Europe. They impressively battled to the Europa League Last 16 and a top-half League finish last season, despite having lost top scorers Ciro Immobile and Alessio Cerci.
