Italian media report Mario Pasalic is favourite to start over Teun Koopmeiners for Atalanta against Liverpool, but Gian Piero Gasperini has one more doubt in attack.

Atalanta host Liverpool in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo tonight. It kicks off at 20:00 UK time (GMT+1).

La Dea beat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield last week and have a unique chance to qualify for the Europa League semis for the first time ever.

There seems to be no doubts for Gasp in defence and midfield with Sead Kolasinac and Davide Zappacosta returning to the starting XI.

However, there could be surprising changes in attack, with Sky Sport Italia and all Italian sports papers claiming Koopmeiners is likely to start on the bench and be replaced by Croatia international Pasalic, scorer of one of Atalanta’s three goals at Anfield last week.

Gianluca Scamacca is pretty much sure to start in attack and will be joined by one between Aleksei Miranchuk and Charles De Ketelaere with the Russian reportedly favourite.

Atalanta vs. Liverpool – probable line-up
