Roma and Udinese are ready to play out the final 18 minutes of their rescheduled Serie A match following Evan Ndicka’s scary collapse, so how have things changed?

The two sides originally faced each other on April 14th but their match was called off in the 72nd minute after Giallorossi defender Ndicka collapsed off the ball. He was rushed to hospital and tests later confirmed that he’d only suffered a collapsed left lung, avoiding any cardiac issues.

Roma recently announced that Ndicka has now been cleared to return to action, giving them peace of mind as they prepare to play out the final 18 minutes of their match with Udinese, now led by coach Fabio Cannavaro.

Udinese vs Roma – how things change

Roma and Udinese are allowed to completely change their starting line-ups for the final 18 minutes of their match, with the only exceptions being players who were substituted off during the first 72 minutes of the game – Kingsley Ehizibue and Hassane Kamara for the hosts and Dean Huijsen and Houssem Aouar for the Giallorossi.

De Rossi is expected to tinker with his set-up for the rematch with Udinese, switching from a three to a four-man defence, bringing in Chris Smalling, Zeki Celik, Gianluca Mancini to replace Huijsen, Ndicka and Diego Llorente.

With Aouar out, Roma are set to use Lorenzo Pellegrini instead, joining Leandro Paredes and Bryan Cristante in midfield. Nicola Zalewski and Angelino will both be left out the squad, as will Tommaso Baldanzi and Romelu Lukaku, with Stephan El Shaarawy, Sardar Azmoun and Paulo Dybala coming in.
