Balotelli takes a holiday
Sunday 25 July, 2010

Mario Balotelli has described his trip to the United States with Inter as a holiday.

Asked to give a message to Inter fans by reporters seeing off the Nerazzurri at Malpensa Airport the cheeky striker responded "Going on holiday..."

Expected to transfer to Manchester City before the summer is out, this trip is likely to be his last with the Serpenti.

Ironically the Beneamata's first match of their tour will be against City in Baltimore on 31 July, so it is entirely possible the two camps will be able to reach an agreement over the expected €35m fee.

Meanwhile new Inter Coach Rafael Benitez was unwilling to shed any light on his troublesome teen striker.

"Balotelli? We will see..." mused the Spanish tactician. "We are pleased to be heading off on this trip and I'm very relieved to have the international players back. We will all be able to work well together in America."

As for Balotelli his agent, Mino Raiola, expects the issue to be resolved within 48 hours. "Monday or Tuesday we will know something."
