Miguel Veloso insists he can't wait to play for Genoa after completing a medical that practically finalises his move from Sporting Lisbon. The Portugal international is Genoa's fifth signing of the summer, taking the club's spending up to almost €30m. Speaking to Telenord, Veloso said: “I can't wait to start this adventure and to speak with Gasperini. “I already know that Genoa are strong. I have seen them on television and I know that the team has big ambitions. “Gasperini is a great Coach and I am at his service.” Genoa beat competition from Fiorentina to sign Veloso. It's thought Alberto Zapater will move to Lisbon in exchange.
