Eto'o wants to win it all
Wednesday 3 March, 2010

Inter striker Samuel Eto'o believes the sky is the limit for him this year as he looks to win everything, including the World Cup.

The 28-year-old Cameroon international is due to face off against Italy this evening in a friendly played in Monte Carlo.

“It's the first time that a World Cup will be played in Africa. And even if it will be very difficult, there is a great hope to win it,” Eto'o explained.

“I believe that - for the now mature experiences of our players in Europe - Cameroon, the Ivory Coast, Nigeria and South Africa can hope to win it.

“I would be really happy if I were to lift the World Cup in Johannesburg as a team from our continent.”

The former Barcelona hitman then turned his attention to Inter and their objectives this season.

“I hope that next weekend our advantage in the standings increases because we must beat Genoa and then hopefully add to the gap as Roma take on Milan.

“As for the Champions League, if we repeat the performance of a week ago, we have a very good chance of going through in London, even though we know that Chelsea are one of the strongest teams,” he concluded.
