Saturday 6 March, 2010

FC Koln defender Pedro Geromel admits he is “honoured” by links with Juventus and Lazio. “I think I have the quality to play in Serie A.”

The Brazilian centre-back stands at 1.90m and has been compared to Inter star Lucio.

“I know that both Juventus and Lazio are following me and am truly honoured,” he told Tuttosport.

“I like Italy and Italian football, plus I have family ties to the country. Serie A is a League known all around the world.”

Geromel is valued at around £5.5m and has also been linked with Arsenal.

“At this moment I am concentrated on Koln, as we need to end the Bundesliga season on a high,” added the 24-year-old.

“Having said that, it’s only normal that when other clubs recognise your talent, it is always very pleasing.

“I think that I have the quality to play in Serie A.”
