Cicinho's agent has confirmed that he will soon hold negotiations with Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini about his client.
The Brazilian right-back was thought to be on his way out of the capital this summer until Luis Enrique was appointed as new Coach.
Instead of a summer sale, there are suggestions that he will now be offered a new contract instead seeing as his present one expires in June 2012.
"A renewal is a possibility," representative Ricardo Sarti told Forza Roma. "I will see Sabatini at some stage this week.
"Cicinho is very happy with how things are going so far this season."
The Brazilian has had a difficult spell in Rome since his 2007 arrival from Real Madrid. He's twice been sent on loan to Sao Paulo and Villarreal since then.
However, the stopper has returned to the Giallorossi this summer and is a contender for the right-back spot this term in a more attack-minded team.
The South American has featured in just 60 League games for the capital side during his career in Italy.
