Parma's new signing Fabio Borini snatched the Italy Under-21 side's late 1-1 friendly draw with Switzerland.
The Azzurrini welcomed their Swiss counterparts to Varese this evening for an international friendly test.
Manchester United striker Federico Macheda was dropped to the bench in favour of Parma's Fabio Borini and newly-signed Chievo hitman Alberto Paloschi, supported by Udinese's Diego Fabbrini.
Switzerland had the better of the first half and broke the deadlock just shy of the half-hour mark.
Caldirola and Mori left too much of a gap through the middle of the defence, allowing Zuber to thread through for Zurich star Josip Drmic to beat Pinsoglio in a one-on-one.
Drmic threatened a second before the break, but was denied by the upright when latching on to a cross from Parma defender Feltscher.
Ciro Ferrara's Italy fought back after the break and snatched an equaliser nine minutes from time when Borini's cross-shot took the goalkeeper by surprise.
