Sebastien Frey is eager to demonstrate his ability after he left Fiorentina for Genoa this summer.
"I have nothing to prove to Fiorentina," stated the Frenchman who was told by the Viola to find a new club.
"Instead, I have to show my new team Genoa what I can do seeing as they were the ones who believed in me.
"My target is to illustrate to them that I am still one of the best goalkeepers in the Italian championship."
Frey replaces Portugal international Eduardo at Marassi after Emiliano Viviano, Genoa's previous target, damaged knee ligaments during Inter's pre-season training.
