Atalanta are said to be interested in bringing Juventus legend David Trezeguet back to Serie A.
The Bergamo club are keen to net a goalscorer who can help them survive the drop, especially after being handed a six-point penalty this week as a result of the betting probe.
The French veteran is available on a free transfer after he rescinded his contract with Spanish club Hercules earlier this summer.
Trezeguet, 33, scored 171 goals for Juventus in 318 games before leaving the Turin giants a year ago.
Atalanta are also interested in taking Lazio striker Libor Kozak on loan, while Torino's Rolando Bianchi is considered as too expensive.
