'Conte will succeed at Juve'

Siena sporting director Giorgio Perinetti is convinced that Antonio Conte will be a success at Juventus.

Perinetti knows the Coach well given that they were together at both Bari and Siena during their promotion campaigns.

"Conte is a very prepared tactician," Perinetti told Radio Kiss Kiss on Thursday. "He's also really matured over the years.

"He'll bring a new kind of work culture to Juventus and I am sure that he'll also get his team to entertain."

Conte, a former Bianconero captain, has replaced Gigi Del Neri in Turin after Juve finished seventh in Serie A for the second consecutive season last term.

Conte, like Del Neri, employs a 4-4-2 system but his wide midfielders are asked to attack more in order to give his side a 4-2-4 shape.

Turning to Siena's ambitions, Perinetti made it clear that they just wanted to avoid a return to Serie B.

"There will be between six and eight teams fighting to stay up and we'll be one of those," the official added.

"However, there are always surprises – just look at what happened to Sampdoria last season…"
