David Suazo has officially completed his move to Catania after the deal with Cagliari fell apart.
The Inter striker has spent many of the last few seasons on the bench or in the stands at San Siro, then on loan at Benfica and Genoa.
He had been training with his old club Cagliari, but was told to leave after refusing to sign the contract that was proposed.
Novara were also interested, but Suazo has now officially signed for Catania on a one-year contract.
The deal includes an option to extend to June 2013.
