Genoa 'won't hide Gila interest'

Genoa “won't hide it, we are interested in Alberto Gilardino,” confirmed President Enrico Preziosi.

The Fiorentina striker has long been linked with a move and there are reports it could go through within days.

“We have never disguised that he is a target. We won't hide it, we are interested in Gilardino,” Preziosi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“We are trying to understand the situation and are in talks with Fiorentina. There's no point hiding it, but at the same time there is nothing definitive.

“Before the end of next week, we can clarify everything.”

Meanwhile, Genoa are also in negotiations with Inter over midfielder Juraj Kucka.

“I spoke about him with the Nerazzurri, but for now he's staying with Genoa. Perhaps we could sort something out similar to the Andrea Ranocchia deal, so he'd be bought by Inter, but remain with us on loan.

“We are very interested in Goran Pandev, but it's not easy to convince him. He probably doesn't want to join a club that has different objectives.”
