Samuel Eto'o hinted at an “English surprise” in his Press conference, but is still expected to sign for Anzhi on Wednesday.
The Inter striker spoke to the media in Cameroon on Saturday and confirmed he was in negotiations with both Russian club Anzhi and an unnamed English club, thought to be Manchester City.
However, the Corriere dello Sport is adamant that Eto'o will put pen to paper with Anzhi on Wednesday.
It would complete his €40m transfer with wages that could be up to €20m per season over three years.
The 30-year-old would also be handed a huge villa in Moscow, which is where the Dagestan team live and train during the week, and a private jet.
There are reports Eto'o could undergo his medical as early as Tuesday.
