Mimmo Di Carlo insists Sampdoria must start all over again after their exit from the Europa League. The club has also called a Press silence regarding Antonio Cassano.
The Blucerchiati lost at home to PSV Eindhoven in midweek and have to pick themselves up ahead of Bari's visit on Sunday afternoon.
Asked for his reaction to Samp's defeat, Di Carlo said: "It certainly burns above all seeing that game that we played on Wednesday evening.
"It hurts but we have to start again without changing our mentality or our objectives. We must try and do the best possible in the League and then have a little luck in the Coppa Italia, which we didn't have in the Europa League.
"Sunday will be difficult. We'll face a team who have a precise identity despite their being last in the table. Further to having great balance, they play in an open and expansive way.
"We must respect Bari while trying to exploit the two against two in central areas. We need to play at an intense rhythm to get three points. We have the quality to do it," he concluded.
