Sorrentino allowed to join Palermo

Chievo have told Palermo that they will sell goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino to them – but only once they sign his replacement.

Sorrentino is wanted by the Rosanero to step in for Salvatore Sirigu, the Italian international who has joined Paris SG.

The Italian custodian has asked for the move to occur and the Verona minnows seem ready to let him go.

Nevertheless, Chievo have informed Palermo that the deal will be put on hold while they search for a new 'keeper.

Juventus custodian Alex Manninger has become the latest shot-stopper to be paired with the Stadio Bentegodi boys.
