Juventus will attempt to sign Emanuele Giaccherini from Cesena before the transfer window closes this summer.
Reports in Italy on Monday are suggesting that the two clubs are talking at the request of Juve boss Antonio Conte.
Giaccherini could be signed for as little as €3m, but as much as €6m, depending on what transfer formula is agreed.
As part of the move, it is being claimed that Jorge Martinez will move to Cesena in exchange on a one-year loan deal.
Giaccherini, whose contract expires in June 2012, scored seven goals in 33 Serie A games last term.
The 26-year-old had never previously appeared in the Italian top flight.
