Paloschi targets goals and salvation

Alberto Paloschi is hoping to net the goals required to keep Chievo Verona in Serie A during the campaign ahead.

The Italian Under-21 international joined the Stadio Bentegodi outfit on a loan deal this summer given the competition for places at Milan.

"I'm happy to be here at Chievo," the former Parma and Genoa striker told Sky Sport Italia on Tuesday.

"This is a great opportunity for me and we hope to achieve our objective of surviving as soon as we possibly can.

"This season I just hope to stay fit, healthy, and I want to score a lot of goals for Chievo," he continued.

"My personal target is to get into double figures in Serie A and then we'll see what happens…."

Chievo have the option to sign a 50 per cent stake in the 21-year-old at the end of the 2011-12 campaign.

Paloschi has had his physical problems over recent seasons.

He's not managed to play more than 17 League games in a campaign since featuring 39 times in Serie B for Parma in 2008-09.
