Palermo have now officially confirmed that Cesare Bovo will appear for Genoa in the 2011-12 campaign.
The centre-back was given permission to train with his new teammates on Tuesday while the two clubs finalised terms.
The Rosanero have revealed that Bovo has joined the Marassi outfit on loan until the end of the season.
The port club, who actually sold Bovo to Palermo in 2008, will then have the option to buy outright next summer.
The 28-year-old moves to the Stadio Ferraris after his expected move to Fiorentina collapsed.
