“I don't want to leave Lazio, but it's impossible to stay in these conditions,” said Inter target Mauro Zarate.
The striker was in the stands for the first leg of the Europa League match against Rabotnicki and will again be absent this week, although Coach Edy Reja claims it is because he refused to play.
“I don't want to leave Lazio, but it's impossible to stay in these conditions,” Zarate told Adnkronos news agency.
“The future? We'll have to see, as it's up to the President to decide. Everything is fine with my teammates.”
His agent confirmed today that Inter have approached the player for a potential transfer, as he would replace Anzhi-bound Samuel Eto'o.
Lazio only want to sell Zarate for the €20m buy-out clause in his contract, but Inter are hoping to take him on loan with an option to buy for €15m.
