Milan, Inter and Napoli will learn their Champions League fate late this afternoon when the draw for Europe's premier club competition takes place.
Inter, winners in 2010, are among the top seeds, but Milan are in Pot 2 after Udinese failed to defeat Arsenal on Wednesday.
Champions League new boys Napoli, meanwhile, are among the bottom seeds given their lack of European football over the last few seasons.
Premiership giants Manchester City will be a team that many will want to avoid given their presence in Pot 3.
Due to the withdrawal of Fenerbahce by the Turkish FA as a result of a match-fixing investigation, Trabzonspor have been added to the draw.
No teams from the same countries can be paired against each other at this stage of the competition.
The draw for the eight groups will take place in Monaco at 16.45 BST.
