Cannavaro: 'Inter crisis no surprise'

Fabio Cannavaro is keeping an eye on Serie A from his new home in Dubai. “I think Milan will win the Scudetto and Inter's crisis doesn't surprise me.”

The veteran is playing for Al-Ahli and enjoying this stage of his long career.

“I have a house right on the beach!” grinned the former Juventus and Italy defender.

“I'm cheering on Cesare Prandelli and the Italy lads. I think things are going more than well for the Azzurri.

“As for Serie A, this season is very balanced. It's not easy to pick a favourite, but I think Milan can win the Scudetto.

“That's because they have signed a player like Zlatan Ibrahimovic who can really make the difference.”

Juventus are still in the title race, but Inter are dropping back after their 3-1 defeat to Lazio.

“The Bianconeri have drastically reduced the average age of their squad, so it will take a little patience to get the best out of them. It is a shame they went out of the Europa League,” continued Canna.

“As for the Nerazzurri, their crisis doesn't surprise me. After a stratospheric season in which they won the Treble, it's only natural that the body and mind relax a little.

“They are also struggling with the many injuries that have hit the squad.”
