Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon met Inter officials this afternoon in a bid to net Goran Pandev.
The Macedonian is available for transfer and it seems that the Azzurri have made the San Siro giants an offer.
"The move is very probable," admitted Inter transfer chief Marco Branca.
Napoli are hoping to get the player on loan for the campaign ahead, with an option to buy this time next year.
Inter were willing to offer the former Lazio man to Genoa, but he has rejected a switch to the Marassi outfit.
Inter signed Pandev for the second time in his career during January 2010, but he's only responded with eight goals in 69 games.
The Milan giants could replace Pandev in their squad with Lazio attacker Mauro Zarate.
