Goran Pandev has confirmed that he will be playing for Napoli in the new season after being sacrificed by Inter.
The Azzurri held talks with Inter officials this afternoon where it is understood that a loan transfer was agreed.
"I'm happy that I'll have the chance to play in the Champions League for such a club as Napoli," the wide attacker told Sky Sport Italia.
"I didn't want to leave Inter, but this will be a new experience for me and the most important thing is that I'm happy.
"In fact, I'm extremely happy."
The San Paolo outfit were paired with the international earlier this summer, but links then seemed to cool.
"The Pandev deal was wrapped up at 10 o'clock this morning," noted Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
"We did well to keep it hidden from everyone until we finally reached an agreement over the form of the transfer."
Pandev, heavily linked with Genoa, will be presented to the San Paolo public tomorrow night when the Azzurri will play a friendly against Palermo.
The tie was arranged after Week 1 of the Serie A season was postponed due to strike action from the Players' Association.
