After loaning Goran Pandev to Napoli, Inter are said to have secured Atletico Madrid's Diego Forlan and Sampdoria midfielder Andrea Poli.
The Nerazzurri are busy spending the €27m earned from selling Samuel Eto'o to Anzhi this week.
It is widely reported they have agreed to sign Italian Under-21 international Poli from Sampdoria.
The deal is a loan with option to buy at the end of the season for €6m from the Serie B side.
Poli had also been linked with Juventus and Milan in recent months, but Inter appear to have swooped first.
It is also believed the Nerazzurri will unveil Forlan as their new striker on Monday, as a deal has been struck with Atletico Madrid.
The Uruguayan international trained with his Madrid teammates on Friday, but the only issues that need to be cleared up regard unpaid wages and red tape.
Meanwhile, Inter retain their interest in Rodrigo Palacio, who is eager to work with ex-Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini again.
They have reportedly offered €5m plus co-ownership of goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano, but Genoa want all of the shot-stopper's contract plus €12m to hand over Palacio and half of Juraj Kucka.
Another alternative remains Mauro Zarate, but Lazio are holding firm against a loan deal, wanting only €20m cash.
