Friendlies set up during strike

Several friendlies have been organised during the Serie A strike, including Napoli-Palermo and Inter-Chievo.

The Players' Association (AIC) declared a strike for this weekend after talks broke down over the collective bargaining contract.

Clubs have rushed to set up friendly games in order to keep their players in shape during what was meant to be the opening round of the season.

Inter will take on Chievo on neutral turf in Monza, while Napoli welcomed Palermo to the Stadio San Paolo for tonight's high-profile clash.

Other encounters include Poggibonsi-Siena, Atalanta-Tritium, Novara-Lecco, Bologna-Zola Predosa and Carpenedolo-Parma.

Cagliari and Cesena have organised in-house matches against their B teams, while Novara take to the field again on Sunday with Como.
