New Palermo goalkeeper Alexandros Tzorvas is “very proud” to have joined the Sicilians from Panathinaikos.
“Just the fact a team of this calibre showed interest makes me very proud,” said the 29-year-old on the official club website.
“I am happy to have such an important chance to prove my worth. I already played three European games this season, so I'm ready to step on to the field as soon as possible.
“I will work hard every day to give a crucial contribution to the team.”
It does not matter than Tzorvas is cup-tied, as Palermo were eliminated in the Europa League preliminary rounds.
He has signed a two-year contract with an option for a third.
