Alberto Gilardino and Davide Astori are back in the Italy squad to face the Faroe Islands and Slovenia.
The Azzurri continue their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign by travelling to the Faroe Islands on September 2.
They then welcome Slovenia to the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence on September 6.
Cesare Prandelli named his squad for the two matches and brings back Fiorentina striker Gilardino, who had been dropped due to poor form.
There is also a recall for Cagliari defender Astori, while Mario Balotelli, Antonio Cassano and Sebastian Giovinco keep their spots.
It is an interesting sign of the summer transfer strategy that four of the Azzurri play their football outside of Serie A.
There are only two games left in the group phase after that, namely a trip to Serbia on October 7 and home match with Northern Ireland on October 11.
