Pablo Daniel Osvaldo is hoping to prove his Serie A critics wrong after he completed a move to Roma.
The Argentine-born forward has joined the Giallorossi from Espanyol, but he's played in Italy before during spells at Atalanta, Lecce, Fiorentina and Bologna.
"I'm convinced that I can do well here," the former Italian Under-21 international noted on Monday. "I wanted another chance in Italy."
Osvaldo has been signed for €15m in a move which does seem to cast doubt over the role of Francesco Totti in the team seeing as they are both centre-forwards.
"We can play alongside each other," assured Osvaldo. "It will be a great honour and I have come here to do that.
"Totti is a champion, while I am more or less on the same level as all the other attackers here in the squad."
