Wesley Sneijder wasn't surprised to see Samuel Eto'o quit Inter to join Anzhi this summer.
The Cameroon international moved to the Russian giants after a transfer fee of €27m was agreed between the two clubs.
"I understand him because he is already 30-years-old," the Dutchman told NuSport. "He has won everything that can be won and even more than just once.
"I would not move to Russia at my age, but I can understand it from Samuel's point of view."
The midfielder's own future has been a subject of debate for most of the summer amidst talk of a move to the Premiership.
"I distance myself from these stories," added the former Real Madrid player. "I'm staying at Inter. I don't think I'll leave at this moment in the market.
"Manchester United? Anything is possible in football, but I don't think something will happen this time.
"I know that if I were to leave it would have be for the right price, Inter were very clear about that. But I have not spoken formally with the two Manchester clubs."
