Milan have rubbished reports that summer signing Stephan El Shaarawy could be sent back to Genoa.
"El Shaarawy is not going anywhere," Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani stated. "He's not off to Genoa, absolutely not.
"The transfer window is closed for us."
According to whispers, Genoa were hoping to bring the 18-year-old back to Marassi as cover for Rodrigo Palacio should he be sold.
The attacking midfielder only moved to San Siro a few months ago after a co-ownership deal was agreed between the two clubs.
El Shaarawy impressed on loan at Padova in Serie B last term and is considered as a star of the future.
He's already represented Italy from Under-16 to Under-19 level and he's expected to soon break into the plans of Italy Under-21 boss Ciro Ferrara.
