Zenit St Petersburg target Leonardo Bonucci will, in all probability, remain with Juventus.
The Russian club are keen on the centre-back and it is understood that they had an €8m offer rejected by the Turin giants earlier this summer.
Contact continued though and there were suggestions that he could be involved in a swap deal with Bruno Alves.
"The conditions were not in place to begin negotiations," the player's agent, Davide Torchia, told Radio Sportiva. "Juventus were very aware of that fact.
"I won't exclude anything before the window closes at 7pm tonight, but the offer from Russia didn't correspond to the player's value."
The Italian international was signed by the Old Lady last summer for a massive €15.5m.
