Lazio could have a striker shortage after Djibril Cissè sprained his ankle during training today.
The club sent Mauro Zarate to Inter and Sergio Floccari to Parma on transfer deadline day because the squad was considered too vast.
However, there are fears Cissè could be out for some time after he sprained his right ankle.
“His condition will be evaluated over the next 24 hours,” read a statement on the club website.
This means Lazio could well only have Miroslav Klose and Libor Kozak available for the opening weekend of the season.
Tommaso Rocchi is not 100 per cent fit either.
