Ranocchia eyes Scudetto battle

Andrea Ranocchia believes Inter are at the centre of what could be the tightest Scudetto race in years. “We're all on the same level.”

The Nerazzurri's run of consecutive titles came to an end in May when Milan won Serie A, though there are numerous contenders this term.

“It will be a wide open campaign, as we're all on the same level,” said the Inter and Italy defender.

“We need time to gel, as there is a new Coach, but had a fantastic transfer session. We start out chasing the top spot, but then we do that every year. I think we'll be battling for the Scudetto right to the very end.”

Milan and Inter are the favourites to contend the title once again, but Ranocchia has other ideas.

“I don't think it'll simply be a San Siro duel. There are many clubs who have reinforced this summer, starting from Juventus. It's going to be a real battle.”
