Zola eager to see Pirlo

Gianfranco Zola believes that Andrea Pirlo has made the right decision in leaving Milan for Juventus.

After a decade with the Rossoneri, the midfielder moved to Turin at the end of last season on a free transfer.

"I'm curious to see Pirlo," the Chelsea legend told Tuttosport on Tuesday. "After 10 years at Milan, he's put himself back up for discussion.

"I want to see how he does for Juventus, but I'm convinced that he will do well."

Zola was also asked for his opinion on Juve's decision to take a gamble on little Emanuele Giaccherini, but allow the equally small Sebastian Giovinco to stay at Parma.

"Giaccherini has proved himself to be a good player at Cesena," the ex-Italian international noted. "He's got a great opportunity, he just needs to take advantage of it."

Asked for his thoughts on the championship, Zola noted: "It'll be a well balanced campaign. Juventus will be fighting it out alongside Milan, Inter and Napoli."
