Genoa owner Enrico Preziosi has challenged Juraj Kucka to find his true self, or risk flopping both at Genoa and Inter.
Midfielder Kucka and new teammate Kevin Constant were picked out by the President for their poor performances against Atalanta.
Having watched the team struggle to a 2-2 draw in their first home game of the season, Preziosi offered unfavourable feedback:
"I expect much more from both. In the middle of the field in the first half, we were like water.
"I know this is not the real Kucka. He has a particular physique and needs time to get into shape."
Preziosi sold Kucka to Inter this summer in exchange for Emiliano Viviano and a €3m fee, but both clubs have agreed to keep hold of their original players and re-evaluate the situation in January.
"Kucka's fate depends on my will. I decide if he goes or stays. We'll see what happens, there are different solutions. If he is playing well however, he does not move in January.
I told the player that if he plays like he did [on Sunday], that Inter will only have him for their photo album. Maybe this whole affair means little, but I want to see the real Kucka."
