Fiorentina full-back Manuel Pasqual has set his sights on winning a place at Euro 2012 with Italy.
The defender has won just two caps for his country, both substitute appearances, but he has ambitions of an international recall.
"Manuel presented himself for the season ahead in great condition and with the desire to have a great championship," agent Gastone Rizzato told firenzeviola.it.
"Speaking honestly, it's four of five years that I don't see another left-back like him in Serie A whether Italian or foreign.
"He's a serene lad who is happy at work, he has a great family and he's a reference point on and off the pitch.
"His objective for the campaign ahead is to return to the Azzurri scene for the European Championships.
"I think he could get back into the international set-up."
Pasqual made his Azzurri debut in the March 2006 4-1 friendly win against Germany. He won his second and final cap in November of that same year in the 1-1 with Turkey.
However, Pasqual has only played for 30 minutes in the Italy shirt.
