Zanetti demands Roma focus

Javier Zanetti says Inter need to forget about the past and just focus on Saturday's Serie A clash against Roma.

The Nerazzurri are in crisis after a sluggish start to the season which has seen them lose to Palermo and now Trabzonspor in the Champions League.

"Playing Roma is always a difficult challenge, but we'll try to face this match in the best way possible," the captain told Inter Channel.

"The only thing to do now is work and concentrate on Saturday for the match against the Giallorossi."

The San Siro giants fell to a 4-3 defeat at the weekend, while they somehow allowed their Turkish opponents to leave Italy with all three points on Wednesday.

"Unfortunately we didn't manage to finish our chances and they scored with only one shot on goal," he added. "That's football though…

"All we can do is put our heads down and work.

"This is a difficult moment, we've suffered two defeats that we didn't expect and didn't deserve either.

"I hope the fans understand. That way we'll all get out of this together. We all stand together when we win and we have to do the same thing now."
