Juventus are being paired with a January move for Benfica's Joan Capdevila, according to reports in Italy.
The Old Lady are in need of a new left-back as has been quickly highlighted during the 2011-12 campaign.
The suspension to Paolo De Ceglie means that Juve have only two left-back options open to them for the Siena game veteran Fabio Grosso and centre-back Giorgio Chiellini.
Juve will try to remedy the problem in January and Capdevila, even at 33, could be a short-term solution.
The Spanish international only joined the Portuguese club this summer from Villarreal, but he doesn't seem to fit in with the plans of boss Jorge Jesus.
Hamburg's Dennis Aogo is an option for the Turin giants too.
Manchester City's Aleksandar Kolarov was also paired earlier this week, but his non-EU status is a problem especially if Juve complete the signing of centre-back Rhodolfo from Sao Paulo after Christmas.
