Malesani changes for Lazio

Alberto Malesani revamps Genoa to take on Lazio this afternoon. “I work every day as if I'll be here for 100 years.”

The Coach was viciously criticised by President Enrico Preziosi after the 2-2 draw with Atalanta last week, particularly for the “horrible and amateurish” first half performance.

“It is true that we gave away the first 40 minutes against Atalanta, but we also did our best in a 15-minute period,” explained Malesani.

“It is from that snippet that we must build on. Am I worried for my job? Not at all. I work every day as if I'll be here for 100 years.

“We will certainly introduce Andrea Caracciolo and Seymour into the starting XI. The important thing will be to have a concentrated side, especially as Lazio have excellent strikers like Miroslav Klose and Djibril Cissè.”

Valter Birsa is suspended for this tie, while Cesare Bovo, Alexander Merkel, Marco Rossi and Ze Eduardo are sidelined.

Genoa squad: Frey, Lupatelli, Scarpi; Antonelli, Dainelli, Granqvist, Kaladze, Mesto, Moretti; Alhassan, Constant, Kucka, Seymour, Sturaro, Veloso; Caracciolo, Jankovic, Jorquera, Palacio, Pratto, Ribas
