Wesley Sneijder defended Inter boss Gian Piero Gasperini after another disappointing game. “There's no point blaming the Coach.”
The Nerazzurri had lost all three official outings in the Italian Super Cup, Serie A and Champions League before last night's 0-0 draw with Roma.
Fans at San Siro jeered Gasperini, particularly when he made some substitutions, and his job is under threat.
“There's no point blaming the Coach,” Sneijder told Dutch channel Sport 1.
“It's too easy to dump all the responsibility on to Gasperini. The truth is we players are the first who must change things. The whole team has to grow and improve.
“It's a shame, as we create so many chances and get close to the goal, but we don't score. Unfortunately it's just one of those moments where everything is going against us.”
