Stefano Mauri has declared his eagerness to return to the field, after watching Lazio fall to a surprise 2-1 home defeat to Genoa.
The 31-year-old midfielder is currently sidelined for a month with injury, and watched his Aquile teammates fall to strikes from Rodrigo Palacio and Juraj Kucka, in a performance that drew boos at the final whistle from the home support.
Writing on his personal website, Mauri said: "I have started rehabilitation and treatment - a lot of pool and gym work.
"I can not wait to come back and help my teammates.
"Yesterday afternoon I suffered in front of the television, and unfortunately the first League game at the Olimpico, in front of our fans, did not go as we had hoped.
"Luckily we have the ability to quickly turn things around against Cesena on Wednesday."
