Alberto Gilardino is expected to be amongst the Fiorentina substitutes this weekend after returning from injury.
“Finally, after a month, the wait is over,” the striker said on his personal website. “I feel relatively good and I’m at the complete disposal of the Coach.
“I’ve trained with the squad all week and I can’t wait to get back into action on the field of play,” he continued.
“It’s so difficult to watch your teammates on the TV…
“I’d like to thank all of the fans and those people who have helped me and remained close in this month out of action.”
The Viola, 10th in Serie A, face Catania on Saturday.
