Sergio Pellissier admits he does not know if he can make it for Chievo's match with leaders Napoli on Wednesday night.
There is a midweek Serie A round coming up and the Flying Donkeys need a boost after stoppage-time defeat at Parma.
“I will try to be there and do everything I can to take part, but I have a large bruise that needs to be absorbed,” confessed Pellissier on Radio Crc.
“I honestly don't know if I'm going to make it.”
Pellissier limped off during Sunday's 2-1 loss at the Stadio Tardini and is their all-time Serie A top scorer.
“Napoli have extraordinary players and yesterday put Milan, the best team in Italy, under the cosh.
“They are playing better than anyone and it certainly won't be easy to face them in their current form.
“Having said that, we have already dropped too many points by the wayside and will await Napoli with swords drawn. It is a very important game for us.”
