Serena: 'Inter won't improve overnight'

Aldo Serena has suggested that despite Inter sacking Gian Piero Gasperini, it will take more than a few weeks to solve their current problems.

The former Inter striker who won the 1989 Scudetto with the club, was talking to Calcio News 24 as his former club confirmed Gasperini's departure.

"Inter were shown to have too many problems last night [against Novara]. The team is slow, some players have suffered a setback and you did not see tremendous room for improvement.

"I do not know if the fault is all Gasperini's, I simply say that [last night] was an Inter not seen for many years - even captain Zanetti was disastrous.

"For now, you can remove Inter from the list of clubs as Scudetto contenders. This is the beginning of the season, it is true, but some problems as not solved in a few weeks.

"At this time at Inter, there is so much confusion."
