Francesco Guidolin has reflected on a point earned against Milan, and admitted his team were fortunate for that too.
Udinese recorded a 1-1 draw with defending champions Milan, but Guidolin acknowledgeed the Rossoneri could have taken the points.
"The glass is half full. We would not have deserved to win. We'll take the result - we were left sweating, but Milan have played more. We are happy, if not humble for a result like that.
"We say that Milan did not deserve to lose. We are aware that we need to improve on some things that we know - how to close out games, problems in attack. Things to work on.
Guidolin also faced questions on his tactics, where he changed during the game from a 3-5-1-1 to a 4-4-1-1, before then alluding to expectations for the coming year.
"I liked it. Today we lacked brilliance, and felt the weight of games played in quick succession. If you think that we have sold key players and replacing them with young who have to grow up, it is not wrong.
"We can not think that we will be equal to last year. The season will be mild, uncomplicated."
