Campedelli: 'Play less like individuals'

Cesena President Igor Campedelli has hit out at his team in the wake of their third defeat of the season.

The Cavallucci Marini patron has invested heavily over the summer, bringing in the likes of Adrian Mutu, Eder, Antonio Candreva and Jorge Martinez.

However, and even with performances under new Coach Marco Giampaolo [pictured] suggesting otherwise, the team find themselves rock bottom after three rounds, having lost to Napoli, Catania and Lazio.

With Atalanta wiping clear their -6 points penalty at the same time, it leaves Cesena as the only team without a League point this season, and Campedelli has seen enough.

"You have to play more as a team, and less like individuals. I would have expected at least a point from these first few games.

"Difficult start? We have to play every team, so one must be able to adapt. We are stronger than last year, but it is important that the squad becomes a group again.

"A message for Giampaolo? He has all the boys with him, we must not give in to initial difficulties."
