After Carlos Tevez refused to play for Manchester City and Roberto Mancini said he was “finished,” Inter and Milan are linked with a swoop.
The Argentine international has handed in transfer requests several times, but a summer move to Corinthians broke down and he remained at Eastlands.
Last night Mancini stated Tevez refused to come off the bench during the 2-0 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich, infuriating the Italian manager.
“Is he finished at City? I don't decide this, but if I did, then yes. I helped Carlos for two years but I cannot accept this behaviour. For me, it's a bad situation because in a game like this it's impossible for one player to refuse to come on, but also for the team because he didn't play.
“If I have my way he will be out of the club. He just refused to go on. I don't know why. I cannot be happy with this situation. Would something like this happen at Bayern Munich, AC Milan or Manchester United?”
Tevez had already been heavily linked with a move to Inter last January and over the summer, while Juventus also took an interest.
However, Sky Sport Italia pundit Gianluca Di Marzio claims another Serie A solution is more likely.
“A real bidding war could break out, but I'd keep an eye on Milan. The Rossoneri are always careful about these deals, as Tevez could arrive on loan or in any case for a reasonable price.
“The rapport between the clubs is excellent, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if this move went through.”
