Mihajlovic sets aside Lazio love

Sinisa Mihajlovic admits his heart will always have a space for Lazio, but today Fiorentina “cannot get this wrong.”

The Coach spent most of his playing career with the Biancocelesti and faces them as an opponent at the Stadio Artemio Franchi this afternoon.

“Of course I am always very tied to Lazio, but I want to win this game. They are a great side with many talented players like Djibril Cissè, Miroslav Klose and Hernanes. I have been particularly impressed with Klose, as I didn't think he was this good.

“I don't understand why the Lazio fans are so critical of Edy Reja. Maybe it's because he has never won a derby and in Rome that is considered very important, but he's still a great Coach and a wonderful man.”

Fiorentina have had a strong start to the season and are targeting a return to Europe.

“We have to confirm our performance on the same level that picked up a point at Napoli, but at the same time forget the recent games and focus only on Lazio. This is a crucial test for us and we cannot get this wrong.”

Alberto Gilardino and Per Kroldrup are still out injured, so it remains to be seen whether Santiago Silva will get his first start or Stevan Jovetic remain as a makeshift centre-forward.

Fiorentina squad: Boruc, Neto; Cassani, De Silvestri, Gamberini, Nastasic, Natali, Pasqual, Romulo; Behrami, Cerci, Kharja, Lazzari, Ljajic, Montolivo, Munari, Vargas; Jovetic, Silva
